A dental nightguard is a custom-made oral appliance designed to protect your teeth and jaws during sleep. It is typically made of durable plastic material and fits over either the upper or lower teeth. Nightguards are commonly used to alleviate the symptoms of teeth grinding or clenching, also known as bruxism, which can occur unconsciously during sleep.
